Hey! So, you feel shitty when the weather changes? You're not alone! Especially if you have trouble with your joints or with migraines. These may worsen when the weather changes but it is not your fault! It doesn't affect everyone the same but if you are affected, the air pressure plays it's part in chronic illness flare ups as we have weaker joints and essentially are more sensitive to our environments. We're pretty much human Barometers. High temperature = High pressure Low temperature = Low pressure. High temperatures cause heavier air pressure but we don't feel the weight of the air around us because our bodies counteract that pressure with the air and water pressure within them. When the weather changes to low temperatures, our bodies then need to adjust to counteract the drop in pressure. If you have arthritic joints or struggle with joint pain this may worsen as the change in air pressure reacts to the liquid within your joints. It's so much easier to explain through a video - If you haven't seen the reel on our Instagram head over to it here. Alternatively there's a few video's linked below that explain what barometric pressure is and how it affects us!
