Hi! my names Tia, I'm 23 and have recently been diagnosed with Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder. My first symptoms happened when I was 17 when I lost feeling in my legs but the doctors put that down to muscle weakness. I started seeing a Neurologist after I lost my eyesight for a few days when I was 20. I now have symptoms all over my body but I find my brain fogs, fatigue and pain in my eyes the hardest symptoms to deal with.

I've recently graduated from university with A FIRST in Business Management! Literally no idea how with working full time, university in the evenings and then a chronic illness I am so proud of myself and it is my biggest achievement.

I have two doggos which are my world (@georgecavachon on insta), I enjoy relaxing and watching Netflix, reading lots of books and attempting to cook! .

I love having a page to connect with people who are going through the same things, I love that we can all be so positive but also brutally honest about the realities of chronic illness! Keep going, we've got this and we won't let it beat us
